Up to Me

Song and Lyrics by Brendan Dane
When its all said done and its up to me
I’ll grab my dog and set sail to the open sea
With the fire sunset crashing down on me
With a little bit of love and a little destiny
Well I’ll find my way and all the words to say
How Much I truly love you each and every single way
Well I’ll find me a spot that we love the most
We travel from city city and coast to coast
We're gonna find our way someday oh yeah
Well if it was up to me and I held the right key
I’d set all the stray people and the animals free
And give the whole world a nice song to hear
And everyone unhappy a smile ear to ear
and if I could a way to all the money in the world
I’d straight light it up in smoke and let the story unfold
That your status of wealth is not the story of you
It’s the story of society under voodoo
Of the rich and evil and of the corrupt
People never gave a fuck or never could get enough
Well you can look to the sky or look to the you
But to me it really doesn’t matter what you do
But now your home
And grab the love one that you’re loving on
And when you find yourself all alone
Don’t live you life with your glass half-full
No live your life with your glass over -flown
And when you need a friend,
You can call me anytime
And I will be there right beside you
Waiting out the clouds until we see some sunshine
If it was up to me
If it was up to me
Yeah I would lay down the law
And unleash on the this world
So they could see it like me
If it was up to me

|||
Intro
looking out we looking out again
in this time in this life

live up live up never want to come down
live up live up never want to come down
live up live up never want to come down for this
Verse 1
first things first lets stop messing around
take this music elevate from the ground
to a place thats where I'll be found feeling great
so many things wrapped up in schemes
to much of it will make the stress increase
stay focused keep your mind at ease use it
shadows cast reflections of the past
calling me home and they telling me to come back
but i cant and i wont leave this moment
Chorus (2x)
live up live up never want to come down
live up live up never want to come down
live up live up never want to come down for this
Verse 2
another year and months have flown by
I'm traveling along for the ride
passing by road signs when we drive
oh an I I've seen it with my own eyes
seen it when the moon shines bright
on the dark sky feel it deep inside
Chorus (4x)
live up live up never want to come down
live up live up never want to come down
live up live up never want to come down for this

Lyrics by Scott Woodruff
from the next sunshine to the next sundown
for 24 hours they'll be locking me down
locking me down, locking me down
you cant take away my rights
late one night driving home from the show
cops they pull me over to the right of the road
he said son what you doing have you had a bit to drink
i said no sir tell me why would you think?
well i can smell it on your breath………. i can smell it on your car
you drive toy fast you wont get too far
put your hands behind your back and step on out your car
and he said, your under arrest right now
so the next thing i know i am in the police station
cops they got me under an interrogation
where was you. where you going? were you were trying to run
running from the police man with the gun
i cant sleep my heart it is a racing
the bars of the jail cell walls are shaking
anticipating, i'm not done breaking all the laws
thats police man is making!

Original Composition and Lyrics by Stevie Wonder
No Copyright Infringement Intended
Looking back on when I
Was a little nappy headed boy
Then my only worry
Was for Christmas what would be my toy
Even though we sometimes
Would not get a thing
We were happy with the
Joy the day would bring
Sneaking out the back door
To hang out with those hoodlum friends of mine
Greeted at the back door
With boy thought I told you not to go outside
Tryin' your best to bring the
Water to your eyes
Thinkin' it might stop her
From woopin' your behind
I wish those days could come back once more
Why did those days ev-er have to go
I wish those days could come back once more
Why did those days ev-er have to go
Cause I love them so
Brother says he's tellin'
'Bout you playin' doctor with that girl
Just don't tell I'll give you
Anything you want in this whole wide world
Mama gives you money for Sunday school
You trade yours for candy after church is through
Smokin' cigarettes and writing something nasty on the wall (you nasty boy)
Teacher sends you to the principal's office down the hall
You grow up and learn that kinda thing ain't right
But while you were doing it-it sure felt outta sight
I wish those days could come back once more
Why did those days ev-er have to go
I wish those days could come back once more
Why did those days ev-er have to go

My Destiny by Lenny Kurlou
It get so hard living up in this world
I'm sorry for the young boys and the girls
Cause everyone got their own opinion
How to live and be a real good civilian
Yes we where taught to
Never to act wild
But there's a roaring lion deep inside
Who wants to step out and get some fresh air
If you agree sing it loud and clear.
Cord
I wanna be, the person i was Born to be
I wanna be
My own personality
So if I choose, to live my life wild and free.
Let me be the ruler of my, my Destiny
Laba laba, watch me then they bla bla bla bla
Dem and dem friends them sit down chat yati yata
Why inna me life they are so inquisitive
Tell them all please, leave my business
Cause i can be just who i am, no one can, push me to do no wrong.
Mi never hurt nobody physically
So why you treat me like a menace of society.
(Bridge)
This world is not our own
Oh yes I know,
We all are just passing thru
We can't be the same no way
You can't be me
And I don't wanna be like you
(Brk)
No no no no
Say
(cors)
I wanna be, the person i was Born to be
I wanna be, my own personality
So if i choose
To live my life wild and free
Let me be the ruler of My Destiny
I wanna be the person i was born to be
I wanna be, my own personality
So if I choose
To live my life wild and free
Let me be the ruler of my
My Destiny. My Destiny.
The ruler of my Destiny
My Destiny, My Destiny, My Destiny, My Destiny
Wanna be the ruler of my Destiny.
The ruler of my Destiny
It get so hard living up in this world
I'm sorry for the young boys and the girls
Cause everyone got their own opinion.
How to live and be a real good civilian.
Oh na na na na na
Oh na na nama na
Oh na na ma na na
Oh, some people!
Laba laba,
yati yata
Chat bla bla bla bla
So inquisitive
Leave my business
I miss my people the fruits and the music
It got a grove, and i just can't refuse it...
(slurs)
Let me be the ruler of my Destiny.
